The Rural Fisheries Society, established on October 25, 2018, by merging the Aranayake and Mawanella Divisional Secretariat Divisions, was registered under the Ministry of Fisheries.
This association comprises approximately 30 members, including growers with over 20 years of experience and individuals possessing expertise in various fields.
The membership primarily consists of farmers cultivating both ornamental fish and food fish.
